Class Performances: Students will participate in one or two local parades in Dec. Students will perform at the end of the year review in June and will have class pictures in May.

These T-Shirts will be worn with Black Sweat Pants and a Turtle Neck for the Parades.  School shirts are available for Stage parents participating in the parades. Students must purchase a recital costume for $90.00 in Feb. for the end of the year review held in June. Parents will be responsible for shoes and accessories.

Fund-raising:   We encourage the Students to fund-raise and meet the minimum requirement. This supports the Booster Club who pays for Christmas T-shirts, end of the year trophies, school rentals, scenery, and more.
Those opting out of fund-raising may pay the opt out fee TBA at the beginning of the fall season.

Class Curriculum: is designed to develop traits such as self confidence, leadership, cooperation, poise, and grace. For the Pre-schoolers we begin to incorporate structure and also allow time for creative movement. Dancing is a healthy and fun form of creative movement for children. It teaches the dancer space and how we relate to it, both as an individual and as a member of a group. The eight basic locomotor movements; musical rhythm, beat and time; opposites and directions; some elementary positions of ballet, expression, imagination, teamwork, and basic body/health awareness. Through participation in class, students also learn the basics of classroom behavior and manners, which remain the same throughout their dancing years. These concepts include learning how to take turns, following another dancer or leading the way, waiting patiently, working together with others, and having a positive attitude. Educators now know those training young children in the concepts of movement sequencing, patterning, and spatial relationship lays a strong foundation for the later development of reading, mathematics, and other educational skills. School Age Children will reinforce their basic fundamentals and advance by learning new skills and more advanced routines. See handout.
Music and Props – We have a variety of props on hand to assist the students with their imagination. We play all the pre-school favorites as well as the popular princess music. We encourage students to sing and dance so they will have fun and stay involved in the repetitive skills necessary to advance.
Class Routines and Makeups: Most classes are taught tap, ballet, tumbling, jazz & baton. They learn one
parade routine and 3 routines for the end of the year review. Classes can be made up at the discretion of the front office in another class. Please call the office before making up a class.
A note about Instructors: Our classes for 2-3 and 3-5 yr. olds are designed to have one teacher per 8 students and a student teacher. If we have more students, we will add student teachers with maximum of 12 students. For 6 yrs and over we have a maximum of 12 students per one teacher.
