Jessica began dancing at Texas Academy at 9 years old. She started with a dance class then moved to the High Steppers Team. She danced at Texas Academy of Dance until she graduated from New Caney High School in 2009. Jessica was a student teacher for the studio and helped teach other classes. She knew she wanted to be a dance teacher from the beginning. Jessica was a member of the New Caney Bluebonnets for 4 years and served as an officer for 3 years. She was a Sophomore Lieutenant, Junior Lieutenant Colonel, and Colonel her Senior year. Jessica competed with a solo for 8 years and won many times at ADTS, Miss Drill Team Texas, Marching Auxiliaries and Danceline. After Jessica graduated High School, she went to Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas and became a member of the world famous "Texas State Strutters". She was also a member of the TX State Strutters Pom Squad and performed with an elite group at basketball games. After her first year of college, she transferred to Stephen F. Austin State University and was on the Pom Squad under TJ Maple. Her Team won the ADTS National Championship in 2011. She competed in Nationals in Daytona, Florida and her team received 3rd place. Jessica then became a member of the Repertory Dance Company within the Dance Department at SFA. In 2011, Jessica began working for Danceline Productions and traveled throughout Texas and Louisiana instructing Officer and Dance Team camps. Jessica graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stephen F Austin in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Dance and a Secondary level Teacher Certification. Jessica completed her student teaching at New Caney High School where she soon began working. Jessica has taught many students and worked with various teams across Texas. She will be starting her 4th year as the Assistant Director of the Dance Teams at New Caney High School in the fall. Jessica is happily married to Billy Snider and they will celebrate their first anniversary in July.
